So how does it work? A quick guide

A personalised consultation and examination

Your experience will start with a friendly chat with your clinician.  They will take time to understand your ear health concerns, establish any relevant medical history and obtain your consent for examination and treatment.  The clinician will then examine your ears with an otoscope and if required tailor any wax removal to your specific needs using one or more of the following techniques.

Microsuction

The safest and cleanest way to remove earwax from the outer portion of the ear.  This procedure involves the use of a small probe attached to a vacuum pump to suction excess earwax from a moderately blocked ear canal.   

Warm water irrigation

The method of choice for removing larger quantities of earwax lodged deeper in the ear canal.  This procedure involves the use of an irrigation pump designed for the specific purpose of flushing the canal with repeated low pressure pulses of warm water in order to get behind stubborn wax and flush it from the ear canal.  

Manual removal

For small quantities of wax near the entrance of the ear canal a variety of tools can be used to achieve safe manual removal. 

Pricing

We offer fair pricing, and will never charge you for wax removal if it's not needed.  We use video otoscope technology so we can show you exactly what's going on in your ears before and after treatment.  If wax removal isn't required we'll simply charge our base price for consultation and examination.
